The pre (or original design), to me, looks more unique, technical & serious while giving off a more mechanical feel of form following function (which is exactly why I think they kept it on the M3 the whole time). Also think the original design fits in better with the overall design & feel of the car

Jun 13, 2010 · Facelift coupe outside mirror replacement. Hi everybody! Long story short, my passenger side mirror broke off and I plan to do a DIY replacement. On all the BMW part websites I've visited so far, they give me results for side mirrors "thru 08/2003", even after entering the information that my car was manufactured 07/2004.
